cd directory_name -to navigate into directory
cd .. backward or one step up in root
cd_directoryname one step down into directory

cd name of directory to navigate into the directory
cd path of the directory to navigate into the directory
cd .. to move a step back from the directory
cd / to move to the move to the root directory

cd directory -move forward into the directory
cd.. to get back from directory
